The 9th edition of the Zona Mundi Festival, recognized as a space for celebration and artistic exchange between Brazil and Portuguese-speaking countries as well as Iberian countries, began on Wednesday (5) at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) and runs until Sunday (9), with a diverse program.

On Thursday (6), the Nilda Spencer Room hosts panels from 9 AM to 5 PM, addressing different perspectives on national artistic production and technology. Business Rounds will also take place in the Nelson Maleiro Room at MAC.

Next, the Museum of Modern Art of Bahia (MAM-BA) will host Zona Mundi for one of the most anticipated moments of the project: visual and sound performances. On Friday night (7), the show will feature artists Avuá, Indi Mateta (AO), Josyara, and SIWO (MZ). The performances begin at 6 PM. Tickets cost R$ 40 and R$ 20 (half-price) and are available on the event's official website.

On Saturday (8), the program starts at 10:30 AM and features Hugo Arán, Martins, Patche Di Rima, and Pedro Pondé, who will invite Bahian artists Clariana and Udi to join them on stage and energize the crowd. Tickets cost R$ 60 and R$ 30 (half-price).

Sunday (9) will feature a free musical program to close the festival. The closing event will take place at the amphitheater of Parque da Cidade, starting at 11 AM, and will bring together names such as Jorge Mulumba (AO) inviting Luizinho DuJêje, Luana Flores, Marina Tusett (ESP), Neila Khadi, Renata Bastos, and Vitrolab.

It is worth noting that all editions of Zona Mundi offer public and free calls for music artists to connect with industry players. Through registrations for the music business roundtables, artists have the opportunity to network, showcase their work, and strengthen connections.
