The Director-General of the Atlantic Music Expo (AME), Benito Lopes, stated today in Praia that the city is already starting to “breathe music” with the 11th edition of the event, which is preparing to welcome both national and international artists.

Benito Lopes shared details about what the public can expect from this edition and the new features that make it unique.

“We’ve already started at full speed,” said Benito Lopes, highlighting the excitement surrounding the event, with a packed venue and renowned speakers.

“This year, AME is being organized with a renewed focus, starting with a series of conferences — something unprecedented, since usually only the opening took place at the National Auditorium,” the director explained.

The change in the event’s structure responds to the high demand from both national and international participants.

The goal is to provide an even richer experience, with panels throughout the day addressing key issues for the music industry.

One of the main conferences focuses on digital platforms, featuring leading companies in the sector that will share their experiences and discuss how artists can make the most of these platforms.

“It’s important for national artists to understand the role of digital platforms in the success of their music,” emphasized Benito Lopes.

The Atlantic Music Expo (AME) kicks off today in the city of Praia, with more than twenty performances open to the public in the nation’s capital.

The program includes conferences and an opening session taking place this afternoon, featuring artists from 12 countries who, over four days, will perform on various stages in Plateau, spread across the Palace of Culture, the Pedestrian Street, and Luís de Camões Square.
