International Design and Art Competition
About this contest
Announcement of results
The Marimba Project International Design Competition had the participation of 210 candidates from the project's partner countries: Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau and East Timor. The jury met and deliberated, and the winning proposal that best met the competition's objectives was selected.
Aimed at young creatives, the competition challenged participants to develop visual proposals that reflected the cultural and musical identity of their countries, promoting diversity and strengthening the emotional bond between the creations and their audiences. The quality, originality and sensitivity of the entries received made the selection process particularly demanding and enriching.
The winning proposal was that of Angolan designer Tiago Ramos Abrantes, whose creation stood out for the way it visually conveys the multicultural and sonic essence of the Marimba project.
The winning design will be the official cover of the soundbooks and the Marimba music collection, being the graphic face of a project that celebrates the encounter between sounds, cultures and identities.
We would like to thank all participants for their involvement, creativity and quality of the proposals presented. Marimba continues to grow based on sharing, collaboration and the power of artistic languages.
The Design Competition for the cover of four (4) soundbooks and eleven (11) music collections (1 Timor-Leste; 2 Guinea-Bissau; 4 Angola, 4 Mozambique).
One candidate will be selected, with the aim of having their design featured on the cover of the soundbooks and Marimba music collections.
